Alex came into yoga seeking to relieve physical and emotional anxiety. With the continuation of practice, she has opened the awareness of where tension and anxiety are stored in the mind and body. Creating an authentic expression of herself regardless of environment is something that Alex finds challenging and nourishing.
When teaching in a group setting, Alex's preferred style is a gentle flow linking breath to movement, holding postures for a range of accessible levels and always starting and ending with grounding relaxation meditations. Breath work is a key component to the practice. Alex always appreciates students sharing their desires for class.
When Alex is not teaching, she can be found riding her bike throughout the city and more woodsy places of the Midwest. Her favorite books tend to flavor inspiration for class and she's always up for a good recommendation.
