Emily found yoga in college while studying dance performance and human physiology/pre-physical therapy. She struggled with quieting the mind and letting go of tension but once she began practicing regularly she found that her anxiety had reduced, an improvement in sleeping patterns and a stronger physical body. Eager to share this practice with others, Emily completed her teacher training at Nature Yoga in 2013. Following teacher training, Emily began her own small yoga business in her hometown on the southside of Chicago. In September 2015, Emily became one of the new managers at Nature Yoga and couldn't be happier to have a home base studio again. Her classes flow creatively, inspired by her dance background and knowledge of anatomical awareness.
