Mindful Practices

with Carla Tantillo

Learn innovative and kid-friendly relaxation, breathing and yoga strategies ideal for both the home and classroom setting. This session is highly interactive and engages participants through experiential learning, reflection and collaboration. By analyzing what structural pieces, rules and expectations are consistent to our kid-friendly space, we can effectively implement relaxation, breathing and yoga tools that have a positive impact on the children we serve.

Workshop objectives: At the end of this workshop, participants will have tools to empower children to use relaxation and yoga strategies to cool down, make more positive behavioral choices and focus on learning. At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to create an authentic and meaningful relaxation, breathing and yoga practice for students. At the end of this workshop, participants will collaborate to create a sustainable, authentic and proactive implementation plan based on the session’s activities.
