This six week long class prepares couples to move through their labor's in an informed way. The classes are designed to help expectant parents understand the birth process, what options are available to them and to help them get ready for parenthood. Every week the couples will learn hands on comfort measures to help the woman through her labor process and will work in small groups so that they get to know the other couples they are in class with. The fifth class will focus on newborn procedures, breastfeeding and what to expect the first 4-6 weeks as parents. The final session will be potluck celebration where couples can spend time enjoying each other's company and meeting families from past classes and their babies.
