Invest some time in exploring the depth of these two playful and complimentary groups of yoga postures. During this workshop, we will explore a variety of arm balancing and backbending postures. Emphasis will be placed on alignment, energy, and intention as we find new ways to approach both familiar and unfamiliar poses. Partner work will be included as we discover new ways to support each other and access these shapes in different ways. All levels are encouraged to attend, but some familiarity with poses like Kakasana (Crow) and Urdhva Dhanurasana (Upward Facing Bow) will allow for further postures to be explored.

Given the name Gopi Om by her guru (and Nicole by her parents), Gopi/Nicole believes that a yogic lifestyle enables a person to approach the more mundane aspects of life with a lighter heart and a more accepting attitude. She has been studying with Sri Dharma Mittra exclusively for the past several years, completing his first ever 800 hour training and traveling to assist him at workshops in the Midwest. She strives to live every moment as an offering to the divine and to pass on the teachings of yoga as they have been generously shared with her.
