Part 1: Flowing into Alignment, 2-3:15pm | $20 in advance / $25 day of
We often think of alignment as being static and very structured, but in this Vinyasa workshop we will explore how to bring the body into alignment with ‘movement and flow’. By exploring movements that help us experience our range of motion/flexibility/strength we can then settle into the targeted asana and experience the alignment and structure of the asanas in a new found way! Explore all the possibilities and then settle down and savor! A lot of focus on movements and cueing in Vinyasa that can bring students into alignment while flowing!
Part 2: Cueing, Aligning and Adjusting, 3:30-6pm | $30 in advance / $35 day of
Verbally guiding your students into poses is an important skill set that will bring more precision and grace to your teachings. With the anatomical knowledge of the body, you can now help your students align correctly in their asana (posture). Learn to safely give hands-on adjustments while guiding your students into alignment. Learning the proper approach and stance as the ‘adjuster’ and plenty of hands-on time working with others to experience and receive feedback on the actual adjustments received. Great opportunity to brush up on or increase your knowledge of the art of adjusting!
