Fall 2018 Yoga Nidra Teacher Training

with Mia Park

Learn to safely and confidently teach guided relaxation, yoga nidra. Yoga nidra means "yogic sleep", a powerful healing and transformational technique where the practitioner is verbally guided through deeper states of relaxation and self-awareness. Practiced laying down or sitting up, yoga nidra is safe for all practitioners and is used to relieve symptoms of PTSD in clinical studies. Yoga nidra can be taught as a stand alone practice or as part of a complete yoga practice. Bring this powerful technique to your students and clients to offer a deeper experience of self-inquiry and rest. Teaching, counseling, healing, or working therapeutically with clients is strongly suggested to take this workshop. Expect to practice several different systems of yoga nidra. There is a slideshow lecture, and you will receive scripts to practice teach in this nurturing, safe environment. Delve deeply into yoga nidra through the refinement of teaching techniques and methodology.

Yoga Alliance CE credits available. Expect minimal movement. There will be a thirty minute break each day. A complimentary PDF of the book “Yoga Nidra” by Swami Satyananda Saraswati is provided.
