Most classes and workshops for expectant moms focus on the day of delivery and how to care for your baby. This workshop is different. We want the focus to be on you. Regardless of where you are in your pregnancy there is still time to learn the importance of putting your life preserver on first. To say that becoming a mom is life changing is an understatement, so how can we expect to thrive if we don’t consider and prepare ourselves first? Through discussion, education, and experiential learning you will discover: Practices to prepare your body in advance for labor & delivery, nutritional considerations for your changing body and strategies to prepare your life and relationship for this monumental change. During this workshop you will enjoy suggested snacks and a healthy “mocktail” and will leave with exercises, recipes, and resources to empower your pregnancy and recovery.

Abby Waychoff and Brandon Larrow are occupational therapists. Through personal experience and observation they discovered that expectant moms are not getting enough information on how to prepare, recover and thrive. After her own difficult birthing and recovery experience Abby, who is also a certified yoga instructor, sought extensive training in pelvic floor health and function. Brandon has specialized in nutritional health coaching and is passionate about women’s health and caring for our bodies through food. With their unique skill sets they hope to empower women to take back their experience and move from surviving to thriving.
