Lauren found yoga after shattering her ankle in a car accident in 2006. After finally getting back on her feet three months after her accident, her surgeon suggested yoga as a way to restore strength and flexibility to her damaged ankle. Lauren found that not only did yoga help her manage her injuries, but it did a lot to calm her mind around daily stressors and started to change her worldview. She began to see that more than just exercises or stretches, yoga is a way of interacting with the world around us that promotes joy and non-harm.
After being a daily practitioner for several years, she was certified to teach in 2012 with a 200hr training and has since completed her 500hr training through Moksha Yoga and her 85hr Prenatal Certification through the Amala School of Prenatal Yoga.
