Megan found Ashtanga yoga in 2012 while searching for a way to take care of her whole self beyond just the physical body. She was captivated by the mystery of this silent, meditative and physically challenging method and quickly developed a dedicated daily practice. Megan has a 200-hour teaching certification from Chicago’s Moksha Yoga Center and has frequently traveled to Mysore, India to study Ashtanga yoga directly from its source. While in Mysore, Megan practices under the guidance of her teacher R. Sharath Jois at the K. Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute (KPJAYI) where she was authorized to teach the primary and intermediate series. Megan enthusiastically shares the method that has helped broaden her awareness and change her life into one of greater stability, fulfillment, and ease. As a teacher she provides sensitive yet strong adjustments and believes that a morning yoga practice is a powerful tool that “tunes” and prepares the body and mind to live up to their full potential each day. Megan’s priority is to help students develop and maintain a practice which can give ample space for self exploration and discovery.
